Native Italian, world citizen.
I define myself as a Healthy Sojourner with an unstoppable desire to make people live at their full potential through real food and physical activity, while making the world a better place.
Since an early age, I have always been interested in food, cooking and sports activities. By the age of 19, I have been able to practice the vast majority of sports and I have played football in professional teams for 12 years as a goalkeeper.
Tired of the monotony of home, the willingness to achieve independence and explore how people live, eat and have fun around the world, I started working as a cook and pizza chef to travel extensively around the globe for 2 continuous years.
This brought me to visit 40+ countries, live in 5 different ones by the age of 24 and gain an incredible amount of knowledge about food production, cooking and intercultural communication that I now put into practice when consulting clients worldwide.
During my BSc in Global Nutrition and Health in Copenhagen, I also had the opportunity to work in countries such as Burkina Faso and Tanzania. Here I conducted and assisted research projects on topics such as infant malnutrition, WaSH, breastfeeding education, media production and optimisation models to create nutritionally adequate diets for the local population.
Motivated by the desire to provide humanitarian work as a passion and not as a career, I jumped right back into the sports performance world pursuing the Advanced Sports Nutrition Certificate from FCB Hub.
Since February 2019 I have been honoured to be working both with amateur as well as elite athletes across a multitude of disciplines as a remote nutrition consultant.
As of November 2019, I am pursuing a Master's of Science (MSc) degree in Sport and Exercise Nutrition in London while continuing my quest to provide an evidence-based approach for educated eating behaviour.
